Article: ‘Hannah Montana’ to end next year
Hmm, it sounds like season four is really only a half season of 12/13 episodes (depending on how you count the series finale). And that Miley was apparently the one that pushed for it. Maybe DC management isn’t doing as well as I thought…

“Hannah Montana” is coming to an end.
The Disney Channel series starring Miley Cyrus is expected to wrap up a four season run next year, according to the 16-year-old’s dad and co-star, Billy Ray Cyrus.
In an interview for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” Cyrus said the cast, which just wrapped up shooting season 3, will carry on for one more run of shows at Miley’s request.
“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year,” Cyrus said. “She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to ‘Hannah Montana.’”
Cyrus said they will film the final 11 half-hour long episodes and a one-hour long season finale, all expected to screen in 2010.
“We’ll start (shooting) season 4 sometime around the end of January,” Billy Ray said. “We have to be done by the first week of June in the summer of next year.”

Can’t believe I would say this, but I too have to give Miley some credit for pushing Disney for a proper ending. Makes you wonder if perhaps Ricky Ullman or Alyson Michalka had pushed Disney a bit, maybe Phil of the Future’s “future”, would have been different.

I’ll be sad to see HM & Miley leave but I’m glad that there will be a proper ending.

At least fans of this show didn’t have to mail in petitions signed with their own blood in order to win a fourth season. Unlike some of us.

Yay Hm gets a 4th season because Miley wants it while all the ADJL fans and Kp fans can’t get more when they all band together! Go Disney! Keep heading towards that cliff!

Oh no! I can’t believe Hannah Montana is leaving my life 4ever! Now, I can’t chill out with her cool songs and funny antics. This cannot be happenin’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really sad when I heard which was a long time ago, but this could be good for Miley. It’s gonna be like That’s so Raven again she’s kinda getting to old for Disney Channel. And if it’s not that she’s got concerts and we might be fans but some people hate her. She has to deal with all of that so I think stopping Hannah Montana lifts a lot of weight off her shoulders.
