Comments on: The Death Of Toon Disney

It’s now late August, 2011- with ABC Kids now deceased, kids will now watch Disney Channel’s “Toonin’ Saturday” programming block. On that note, Disney needs to change the direction of its programming, starting with adding more original animated action and adventure to its crop of comedy-oriented cartoons. Also, for live-action programming, especially for Saturday morning viewing, develop adventure-oriented programming, similar to old-school live-action Saturday morning programs, like Shazam, Land of the Lost, The Secrets of Isis, etc. Something like another live-action version of people stranded on a tropical island and helping a native tribe take on invading treasure-hunting pirates. Whatever it takes to transition away from those musically oriented tween sitcoms, which there are currently too many of, right now. Case and point, turn Disney Channel back into the network with programming for the whole family to see, primarily with both comedy and action/adventure animation, live-action family adventure programs, movies that are not based on any one genre(mix up comedy, action, adventure, fantasy, mystery, etc.) and include movies that features slapstick gags, mystery solving, car chases, rescue operations, conflict and battle, anything that explodes, emergency scenes, good vs. evil, infiltration and pursuits, shootouts, etc. At the same time, to compete with Boomerang, why not launch a new channel, called “Retro Disney”, featuring reruns of classic Disney and Marvel programs. Case and point, Disney needs to just step out of the box, from time to time.

dear save disney shows , hi my name is david b conway , and my comments to saving aaron stone tv series and the rest off tv series and the tv shows , is to about not only sighing the pettions it is allso about going beyond the pettions and to make videos just of each tv show that you want to save on the disney channel and the toon disney and the new one as well disney xd / and one is trying hrad even just to save our tv shows and the tv series , and why not start to have a tv reaily out side / and tell walt disney company how munch off a huge misstakes that are doing , and tell walt disney as well just for me as well just if they can not keep aaron stone tv series and the tv show and i think it is all over just for disney xd because off the fact is aaron stone tv series is one that open the door just for having disney xd in the frist place just for targeting the younger boys at the age off 6 to 14 , and walt disney company is acting like they do,nt care any more just for boys and boys today will all ways play the ds games and sports and to have other events , and please pepole go to the aaaron stone and save our tv show just aaron stone pettion and tell your friends just do the same thing just to the aaron stone pettion and vote , just because today is the last season off aaron stone tv series season 2 and after season 2 off aaron stone it will be cancelled and get out there and vote ./ love david b conway

i can’t believe it’z gone……TOON DISNEY IS GONE!!!!! >:( i grew up watching cartoons on this channel. i miss seeing these shows and i think they should put toon disney back on the air! they can keep they’re disney xd. i just think they should make a channel and decaite it to older shows that many of us grew up watching…..UGH MAKES ME SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

We have Phil of The Future, Even Stevens, Filimore!, & Gargoyles on Disney XD. All we need now are the finishing touches (a few shows from The Disney Afternoon) and we will be happy!

The only “good” shows on Disney XD are Even Stevens, Phil of The Future, Filimore, & Gargoyles.

The only time I’ll watch Disney XD will be starting March 23 when Spectacular Spider-Man premieres. The rest of Disney XD’s line-up looks awful… I’m surprised that they aren’t bringing Power Rangers over to the channel.
